Questions relating to Adverts:

Q.     Why do you have a fixed advertising fee instead of the more common cost per click method of advertising?

On face value the CPC/PPC (cost per click or pay per click) pricing models would be the fairer way for you to advertise as you only pay when visitors click on your ad and arrive at your site. But there has emerged unforeseen problems as a result of unethical users abusing the CPC/PPC system. 

The main problem is where search engine companies offer affiliates a percentage of the CPC/PPC when clicks are made on the affiliate’s text ad. Some affiliates of these systems have used various methods to create false clicks on an advert in order to earn higher commission from the search engine companies. Also, it is possible that your competition could add to this abuse by clicking on your advert many times over and over again to increase the amount you pay for advertising without you seeing a return on your investment, in order to try and cost you out of the market. All of this abuse has now been termed ‘click fraud’. You are the one who ends up paying a large advertising fee for clicks on your advert but see a low conversion rate of clicks to orders from your advertising campaign because there were fewer real visitors to your site.

We could easily implement a CPC/PPC method into our search engine advertising but you (the advertiser) could be subject to the same click fraud abuse. It does not do any harm to our profits in fact we would definitely make more revenue using a CPC/PPC pricing method but we don’t like the idea of our customers paying for clicks that they did not receive or are worthless to them.

Q.     Do you offer any type of incentive to your affiliates to click on my advert?
No. There are no incentives given to our affiliates to click on your advert. There is no benefit to you if we ‘force’ our users to visit your site. The people that do click on your advert through our search engine are real people looking for your service/product.
 
Q.     Why do you have restrictions on the format of my free listing or paid advert?
It is important to keep to certain standards with regards to what we will accept in our submission process. We do this to ensure our search result pages are uniform in appearance which makes the experience with useAD a pleasant one and users will return to search another day. 
  • We do NOT ALLOW EXCESSIVE CAPITALS as this makes the listings hard to read and is quite annoying for the reader.
  • We do not allow too many $$$$ or !!!!! or ***** etc. for the same reason.
  • We do not allow a word to be repeated over and over and over and over again. Too much repetition is boring for the reader.
  • We do not allow rude or vulgar language.
These submission rules are in place for both the free and paid listings. They are not there to hinder you but are there to benefit you as our service will keep on receiving return visitors if we ensure the quality of our listings are kept at a high standard.

Q.     How do I purchase my Premium or Standard Listing? 

First select the keyword best suited to place your advertisement under by using the search feature above. If there is an available listing for your advert then a 'Advertise Here' link will appear at the top of the search results. Click on that link and follow the instructions to place your advertisement.

Q.    Can I update / change the advert while my campaign is running ? 

Yes. You can update / change your advert any time you wish. All you need to do is logon to your back office and click on the "Paid Listings" tab. From here you will see a box with a list of advert headings for all your paid listings with us. Select the advert you wish to change and press the modify button. Then simply re-type your new advert and click the "Update" button.


Q.     Is it only useAD members that are viewing my listing?

No. There are over 130,000 independent useAD affiliates at present. 
Anytime a useAD member performs a search on their site it is possible that your listing will be viewed depending on if they searched on a keyword that is common to your listing.
But it is not only useAD members that are performing searches, it is hundreds of thousands of others too! As useAD members promote their own useAD business and their affiliate website is visited by others who are non-members, these people will also make searches on our listings.

The useAD membership is growing at a rapid rate. Every useAD member that comes on board is sent their own useAD affiliate website... more members means more useAD websites which also means thousands more searches are being made on our listings!

Q.     How many clicks will my advert receive during the 30 day campaign? 

The number of clicks your advert will receive depends on a number of issues. More popular searched keywords will generate more clicks than an advert that is placed using a keyword that is less popular. Also a well written advert will generate more clicks than an advert that is not. These factors are out of our control but if you chose the right keyword and have a well designed advert that appeals to the viewer then your campaign will succeed.
 
Q.     What kind of payment methods do you have? 
At present we use PayPal. In the future more payment methods will become available.
 
Questions relating to Affiliates or Back Office:

Q.     I forgot what my useAD ID number, password or website address URL is. Where can I find it? 

Click on the Logon button in the top menu bar. On the logon page there is a link to offer assistance in locating your password or ID number. Click on that link and follow the instructions to retrieve your ID number and/or password. Once you have your ID and password you can then login to your back office. In your back office under the 'Tools' tab your useAD affiliate web site link is listed there.


Q.     Do you offer pre formatted useAD promotional emails & Banners for me to use to promote the useAD service? 

Yes, you will find them in the your back office. Once in there, click on the 'Tools' tab.
 


Q.     How do I get paid my commission? 

At present all commissions are paid via PayPal. If you can't open a PayPal account then please contact us and we will make alternative arrangements.
 


Q.    When am I paid my commission? 

You are paid on request. Once your balance exceeds $50 a 'Request Commission Payment' button will appear in the 'Account' section of your back office. 
 


Q.     I just got logged out of the members area, it says: 
"YOUR LOGON SESSION WITH USEAD HAS EXPIRED PLEASE LOGON AGAIN". 
What do I do now? 

You will be logged out of the members area after 5 minutes of idle time. 
We have this in place for security reasons. 
Logon again to get another 5 minutes.
 


Q.     I want to cancel my useAD membership. How do I do this? 

Logon to your back office and in your 'Account' section please click on the button 'Delete Membership'.

Q.     Will you ever sell or give my personal information away to a third party?
